Dispatch: Whiteboard Sketchnoting

Whiteboard Sketchnotes

WHITEBOARDS are everywhere in modern business environments. I've been fortunate to work as a UX designer in a space with wall-sized whiteboards and a leadership team and encourages experimentation with them.

Every Monday my team and I whiteboard features we're going to add to the web-based app we're building together. This 1 hour meeting is a highlight of our week that always draws our team together.

The photo above is from the church community group where I live-sketchnote Bible chapters on the whiteboard each Sunday. My classmates love seeing scripture come alive in real-time and it's great practice for me.

This week I challenge you sketchnote ideas a whiteboard. Play with some dry-erase markers and explore! Who knows where it might lead you.

Need a portable whiteboard? Check out Betabook!

Dispatch: Green Bay Packer NFL Sketchnotes

Packers seahawks

It's Football Season! I've been having fun sketchnoting this year's Green Bay Packer NFL football games since experimenting last year sketchnoting the NFL Championship game (yuck) and Super Bowl XLIX (great game).

16311568401 7dee202ac1 z

It's a great way to document the game experience and let go of the stress of being a fan who can only watch what happens. I first shared sketchnoting sporting events in The Sketchnote Workbook.

I've been using my Hobonichi Techo Logbook to capture games, creating a title before the game starts and documenting each major event as the game unfolds. If you have a favorite sport, try sketchnoting it!
